Additional, complementary, postgraduate and second degree programmes as well as doctoral programmes and part-time programmes can be supported with the help of KfW student loans. The CHE Centre for Higher Education has compiled an overview of further student loans.
The German federal government's scholarship programme "Talent promotion in professional continuous education" comprises grants of up to EUR 5,100 for young, exceptionally talented individuals under 28. The Upgrading Scholarship supports individuals with professional experience in completing a first academic university degree. The Institute for Talent Promotion of the Hanns-Seidel Stiftung is committed to promoting the education of scientifically-qualified young academics through non-material and financial support.
